Transport in Mersea

The nearest train station is located in Colchester which is located a short drive, or taxi journey, away. It’s important to remember that there is only one road in and out of Mersea and at some high tides this can become completely submerged in water. Ensure that you check the tide times before travelling and do not attempt to cross the causeway when it is under water.
